A Principled Streetcar Network: How to Phase, Expand, and Ensure Success for the Future System.

Downtown Dallas currently has two disconnected and mostly incompatible streetcar lines. The latter is ok. The former is not.

The inner highway loop disconnects downtown Dallas from the surrounding neighborhoods, the geography of the Downtown 360 Plan. In this climate, air conditioned pedestrian accelerators will make for the best connection between neighborhoods provided adequate development density is encouraged and proper principles for design and expansion are followed.
