Knox Street Public Realm Improvement and Redevelopment Plan

“What keeps the Apple store on Knox Street?” The planning effort began with a hypothetical question implying there is rising competition for the "it” spot in Dallas. The analysis showed that Knox lacked population density to ensure repeat customers to its stores and was dependent on visitors as a destination. The conceptual planning effort focused on improving circulation, the quality of the public realm, and an intentional shift of warehouse facilities to focus on higher value showroom space to open up developable land for increasing density in the area.
